Hello again Superthread. Just went to my favourite bakery on the planet.

Baked goods are good any time. Especially danishes, aw yeah.

Thoughts from today:
- If the above posts don't make it clear, it was so good to go back to my favourite bakery.
- The Gold Coast, or at least Robina, has gone to shit spectacularly. If I thought it was unimpressive five years ago ... wow, it's awful, just a homogenous commercialised hole. Mudgeeraba and Tallai are still pretty nice areas though.
- Interesting game of rugby tonight. I think that except for the last 15 or so minutes, the Springboks actually played better rugby and deserved to win, but Australia's victory means the All Blacks still have a faint hope of taking out the Tri-Nations. Our destiny is pretty much in our own hands - as long as we beat the 'Boks next week anyway. That game is going to be fucking intense.
- Amazing win by the Lions in the AFL! God, if I thought I'd seen a good game in the union ... switching over to the AFL for the final quarter really capped off the evening. Glad to see Carlton eliminated.

Seems we all fucked off for the weekend. I just caught up with some of the guys I used to know in high school ... always good to see them but it's funny how in many little ways, you just drift apart.

Glad to see the Saints get up over the Pies, though I'm sure Shepp Daniel isn't!

Haha, good luck to you. I'd rather the Crows advance. Should be a good weekend of footy. Though for me, the big deal is the do-or-die rugby between South Africa and New Zealand.

Please tell me more on what the situation is in the series.

OK, basically, South Africa's won 4 from 5 (out of 6 total games), and got a bonus point from one of those four wins, giving them 17 points total. New Zealand has won 2 from 4 and has 8 points total. We play South Africa next weekend. If South Africa wins, or even gets a bonus point for losing by less than 7, we're fucked. Series over. Because if South Africa gets to 19 points or more, there is no way we can catch them, and if they are on 18, we need to win BIG to equal that 18 and improve our points differential so that it's better than theirs (currently, ours is -14 while theirs is +25).

BUT, if South Africa ends their six games on 17 points, NZ can still win. If we win both of our two remaining games with bonus points, we end on 18 and win the tournament. If we get bonus points from one, we end on 17 and the aforementioned points differential comes into play. If we don't pick up any bonus points, even if we win both games we just end on 16 and the title goes to the 'Boks.

Complex? A touch!

Oh, and Australia cannot win at all. They can pass NZ if the 'Boks beat us and then they beat us in the last game.

Haha, thanks for the insight. We don't really get any coverage in SA, where we used to with Ch7 and/or Ch10.

I can tell from your post that you're wild about rugby. While I, never was too fond of it, but for some reason I prefer Union comfortably over League.

Rugby's the national religion across the Tasman and I've totally bought into it. But I generally just dig sport in general. Union, AFL, and cricket are my favourites. You know what other sport I'd really love to get into? Handball. Fell in love with it during the last Olympics.

Anyway, better turn in for the night.

I'm surprised how decently some of the dodgier Boy era songs have fared.

Hahaha, it's getting a thumping.

I can't believe Inside Out got above 3, though. Proves some U2 fans will rate anything well, no matter how badly the band perform.

It will be interesting to see how some of the lesser songs from subsequent albums fare against the pre-Boy shit.
