Don't want to post in the Mad Men thread in case of spoilers for the next few episodes but...

It's such a defining character moment that perfectly abuses what should have been a big series moment, what with buying the rights to a Beatles song and all.

BBC America's Copper is very much like Gangs of New York - post Civil War New York in the 5 Points area, and all the crime and gangs that went on. |

the first 3 are all very satisfying
The first episode of Parade's End was not holding my interest at all, I stopped watching I want to check out Spies of Warsaw, also Mr. Selfridge on PBS is pretty good. I think Banshee is something you would like, you should investigate it a bit. |

If Jeremy Piven is in it, it's got a strike against it already. If he's the lead, that's two. If it's a period piece and he's wearing a douchebag mustache underlaid by a neatly-trimmed Backstreet Boys beard...that's at least three. Other than that, yeah...maybe it's pretty good. But I will never know.

yes, it is pretty good,
It's a bit of a Spartacus light, many find Spartacus on Stars too extreme. As for Priven on Mr. Selfridge, he plays the part of an arrogant American in London, type-casting. The supporting cast is really good, and this has a bit of the class struggle that is so popular on Downton Abbey and those other BBC productions. |

I've added Orphan Black to my list of shows to watch.
Too bad this means I'm watching more TV than I had since I was in grade school. I'm starting to feel like a couch potato. Ugh! |

I know the feeling, there's a silly amount of good TV on these days. Add to that catching up on a whole heap that came out before 2010 and my hard drive is bursting at the seams. Ah well #1stworldproblems

The Americans is winding down. Next week is it's season finale.
It's still entertaining and keeps my attention. This past episode really showed how sociopathic Philip can be, in regards to Martha. But its the wigs and the children that make me give this show 4 out of 5 stars. Do those wigs have some special glue to keep them on when necessary? And I think the kids are just there, with little to the plot. It's like they're a distraction for Philip and Elizabeth, in terms of their partnership and their dedication to the motherland. I mean, is Paige's crush on the kid next door supposed to be a subplot or just to remind Elizabeth what love is? I hope the next episode has the kids finally start asking questions because that is long overdue. |

I can give the kids part a pass.
But the wigs, and I have mentioned them before are a leap too far. It was kind of funny when her parents said, I can see a family resemblance, I yelled yes, they all have the same bad wig-maker. We are supposed to believe he spends the night but does not take a shower? |

And also, wouldn't their accents slip in time to time? They may have lived in America for about 15 years, but English is something they learned in their late teens. I doubt they would have no trace of an accent. |
