I'm surprised Kid A didn't make more of a showing here...that LP usually gets lots of love in B&C.
Kid A has what I call the 'vinyl' feel...as soon as those first notes of EIIRP play, you feel like you've just put the needle down a vinyl record, and these ten tracks are about to play in a very deliberate order with a very deliberate beginning, middle, and end, that will culminate in a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Song for song, it's hard to argue against OKC, with Airbag, Paranoid Android, Exit Music(For A Film), Let Down, Karma Police, Climbing Up The Walls, No Surprises, Lucky, and The Tourist.
Everything In Its Right Place > Airbag
Kid A < Paranoid Android
The National Anthem < Subterranian Homesick Alien
How To Disappear Completely = Exit Music(For A Film) - I can't possibly choose between these two
Treefingers < Let Down
Optimistic < Karma Police - WOW that was close
In Limbo < Electioneering
Idioteque = Climbing Up The Walls WOW that was close
Morning Bell < No Surprises
Motion Picture Soundtrack < Lucky
Well, all that accomplished was showing how close this is for me.
This is as close as it gets. RH will never top these two records.
