Dear Radiohead,

Your art is recording, not touring. Get back to work and stop with the lame excuses. Your last 3 records were crap wastes of fine plastic, so I understand your trepidation towards releasing a new record. But be brave, write songs. You can do it. I think you can. Maybe.

Dear Radiohead

Give me another album in the same vein as the last three, I know you can.

Dear Radiohead

If you produce another shit-fest like HTTT again, I promice I will personal gouge out Thom Yorke's good eye.

As I understand it, they don't have a record deal right now and are in the unique position of finishing a record without a record company on their backs. They don't want to sign until the record is finished, and that will mean beginning the tour without a new record to try out the new material. Kinda exciting, I think.

Ok. I think I knew that, but I wasn't sure.

 I'm so new to Radiohead, I'll take anything.

Isn't that what new addicts always say?

Dates are announced...

RADIOHEAD ANNOUNCE U.S. DATES
June 1-30 U.S. shows to follow May 6-19 UK/Euro dates

Radiohead has announced a series of theatre dates in the U.S., beginning June 1 & 2 in Philadelphia and concluding with a pair of dates June 29 & 30 at Los Angeles' Greek Theater.

Set lists for the shows will draw heavily on the newer material the band has been working on over the past months. The performances will take place in smaller than usual venues, and will feature appropriately scaled down staging and lighting design, creating a suitably intimate environment for the first ever airings of several new songs.

The low-key theater dates will punctuated by a June 17 headline stand at the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tennessee, and will be preceded by similar dates in Europe and the UK followed by a run of UK/Europe festival dates including the already sold out V festival Aug. 19 & 20, with others TBA.

There are no plans for a Radiohead album release any time in 2006.

*prepares spare room for joyfulgirl*

You wouldn't happen to have an extra, oh, couple thousand bucks lying around for a plane ticket, would you?

:(

I'm thinking we can probably expect a proper tour of ampitheaters or arenas once the album is actually out, whenever that may be.

At least that's what I'm going to hope. I need to remain optimisitic about a Texas date sometime in the next year or so.

I won't be here on JUNE 13 or whenever they come to New York!!!!

God, I'm very sad...

OMGOMGOMG June 1st in Philly! 3500 seat theatre! First Radiohead Show ever! How exciting! :hyper:

I was just noting that one of the San Diego dates and one of the LA dates works very nicely for me  In fact, I'll be in AZ for work the day before the SD show so I'm already halfway there.

The ticket prices are surprisingly cheap too- only $42.50 to see them in Chicago. Now if I can only get a ticket...

where the hell is "Bayside" in San Diego???

I'll see if I can scrape up the money for this, it's not my first priority cause I've seen them live..I haven't seen Bruce live so I'm really trying to score some tix for the LA show

That's pretty fucking awesome.

Just, The Bends, and Creep need to be in there, and I'd die of sheer excitement.

ditto! I'd go as far as to say it's one of my favorite Radiohead songs period. But, I also say, the more The Bends, the better! Here here!

Oh yeah, has anyone heard Arpeggi yet? I listened to a live version the other day, it's really quite gorgeous. Can't wait for June 1st...ZOMG! :hyper:
