ok so yesterday evening i decided i was going to wipe my external hard drive and reformat it...just to put it on a clean slate or whatever. so anyway, i fired up disk utility and started a zero bit reformat of the drive. by the time i went to bed it was about halfway complete but i noticed that it had made no progress in the past hour or more. i woke up this morning to find that no progress had been made over the course of 9 hours. so i force quit disk utility (probably my fatal error) and tried to start over. disk utility won't recognize the drive now. is there anyway i can fix this or did i is my external drive now completely FUBAR?
