I apologize Maddie for interrupting your thread! But I know EXACTLY where you're coming from , and it's such an awful feeling. But thanks to all who had nice things to say!

Luckily she's out of the OR now and the tumor is completely benign - just going to be in the hospital for a few and has a bit of a recovery in front of her! I feel very lucky right now.

Well folks we found the cause.......she got a call from her doctor this morning saying the reason behind it all is a 'thyroid'(?) gland problem - its under-active..........so she will now be on medication


I believe its a hormonal thing and quite common..............

Still its sad for her....but we are both ever so glad and relieved its not her heart...............phew......!

anyway..........thats all............

That's so great that you at least have an answer now Maddie!

Thyroid problems are really quite common, and can be controlled rather easily with medication and diet (I'm a nurse, although I dont know tons about this).

I'm glad to hear that things are getting back under control
