I thought this was deserving of its own thread:

It's crazy how Postal Service was most of our introductions to Death Cab/Ben Gibbard/Jenny Lewis/Dntel/Jimmy Tamborello. Now they're more or less enormous. I can't even imagine how high expectations will be for this album, I know mine are already enormously high. Can't wait to hear it no matter what it turns out like.

This news, along with news of Bright Eyes in the studio, is exciting stuff.

oh, yea: ¡Postal Service!

And they said it was a one time thing.................

On a side note, a new Postal Service album is better than new albums from Death Cab, Jenny Lewis, Rilo Kiley and that guy that does the PS music...........it's like these enjoyable, but not amazing artists are suddenly brilliant when working together.

Well, if that's the attitude you're going to have, I'm sending back the 'Krunk Ain't Dead' bling I bought you.

Are there any plans for a new Dntel album? I'd like to know.

He signed to Sub Pop under his "Dntel" moniker, and apparently is working on a new album. He has some other album coming out under a different moniker of "James Figurine" on July 11th apparently. I have no idea why, nor does anyone else apparently:

No kidding! Amazon actually sent me an email this week recommending "Mistake Mistake Mistake Mistake" by James Figurine, and I was all . It didn't explain anything, it just recommended the album, so I had no clue what it was or why they were recommending it. Frightening. Amazon really does know what I want before I do. :shifty:

Also, glad to see Mia Doi Todd in the lineup for the next Dntel album.

*edited because I can't spell
