Oh is there an actual poll where I have to log in here via computer to actually have my vote count?

Unlike twitter. I logged into there on my computer once and holy fuck is the app better. If I only ever saw twitter on a browser, I still would have no clue how it works.

The Twitter website can really be a pain in the ass, for sure. It always takes me like three or four clips to remember how to find embed links.

There is a mobile version of this site, now, btw. It's not too bad, and I'm sure it lets you see polls.

I'm very fond of December's Children, btw. I'll try to do a top 10 in order. Don't know if I've ever done this before. We're usually only ranking the Big 4 (which are fucking EASILY their four best albums).

1. Beggars
2. Let It Bleed
3. Exile
4. Sticky Fingers
5. Some Girls
6. Aftermath
7. December's Children
8. Goats Head Soup
9. Satanic
10. Out Of Our Heads

Bunch of my buddies just went to the Stones show in Indianapolis on the 4th. They enjoyed it. They also stayed at a hotel where a bunch of crazy porn stars were staying because of an "Excommunicated Porn Stars" convention that was in town. So, like, people that were basically kicked out of porn for being too fucked up.

So that's appropriate for a Rolling Stones gig, I think.

Big Four plus Goat's Head Soup.

If I didn't dislike Shattered that much, maybe I'd put Some Girls there.

There are some great songs on Bridges to Babylon though, such as Out of Control (one of my favorites) and Flip the Switch.

I thought about taking between the buttons as my 5th choice, but since I figured this list assumes actual UK album listings as the true track listings, it wouldn't include the singles that the US version apparently did. It wouldn't matter because it would be the only vote for it anyway. Satanic Majesties isn't exactly fairing that much better, I guess. But at least I like it as an album, rather than just the singles from then that didn't technically make it onto the actual album.

I always hated that UK/US album difference thing. Drives me nuts with early Who and Beatles, and it kind of makes me think that since all the giants had done away with that nonsense by the late 70s, why in the ever loving fuck did the Clash's self titled album suffer the same fate?

Shattered is a really weak closer.

My oddball list of 10 favorites in chronological order.

Between the Buttons, Satanic Majesties, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers,
Goats Head Soup, Emotional Rescue, Tattoo You, Voodoo Lounge, A Bigger Bang

A Bigger Bang? Really? I always think that album had one song on it I REALLY liked, but it's actually just the song Jagger did solo for the Alfie soundtrack which came out the same year. Which, I say, is a very confusing thing to do to your more casual audience,

"Oddball" is one way to describe a list that includes Emotional Rescue, A Bigger Bang, and Voodoo Lounge but not Exile On Main Street...

Emotional Rescue is their nadir IMO. Even Dirty Work has some cornball fun on it, but Emotional Rescue feels like scraping the barrel of an already less-than-stellar era.

I finally got around to hearing Tattoo You. It's OK. Very OK. Some tracks went on a little long (Slave comes to mind) and Waiting On a Friend is a strange closer, but it's solid enough as a whole. Once again, I enjoyed the Keef-fronted track quite a bit.

Alright, when I get home from work tonight I'm going to start the first thread. Voting for this will close at 6pm PT/ 9pm ET.

Sorry for the delay, I came home last night after working over and fell right to sleep. Here are your results:

Tier 1 = Five songs from each album
1 - Beggars Banquet - 14
1 - Let it Bleed - 14
1 - Exile on Main St - 14
4 - Sticky Fingers - 13

Tier 2 = Three songs from each album
5 - Some Girls - 5
6 - Their Satanic Majesties Request - 4
7 - Goats Head Soup - 4
8 - Aftermath - 3
9 - Between the Buttons - 2

Tier 3 = 2 Song per album
10 - The Rolling Stones - 1
11 - Out of Our Heads - 1
12 - Tattoo You - 1
13 - 12 x 5 / The Rolling Stones #2
14 - December's Children (And Everybody's)
15 - It's Only Rock N' Roll
16 - Black and Blue
17 - Emotional Rescue

Each tier will then have a semi-final, the third tier's semi-final will include any songs from the remaining Stones albums that were either hits, or were requested to be included. If there are any b-sides/rarities that I should know about to include in the final tier, speak now, or forever hold your peace.

I will start the first thread in about two hours.

My Goats Head Soup vote just tied Some Girls.

Or am I too late? I didn't know there was a poll until this morning. And it's still open. And I voted before I saw that you posted results.
