Post a good mix of their mellow stuff whether playlist style or CD length. :hyper:

I'm not sure about mine yet although I know Release will most likely close it and Sometimes will probably open.

Actually come to think of it, Parting Ways could be a fantastic closer. Although, I'm sure I'd rather have the intro to Once repeating forever at the end of the mix than a bunch of silence and then typewriter sounds.

OK. I have one.

1.Long Road
2.Man Of The Hour
3.Light Years
4.Immortality
5.Low Light
6.Footsteps
7.Sleight Of Hand
8.Around the Bend

17.All Or None

Great thread! It's amazing how PJ switch from the intense, fireworks-in-your-pants stuff to slow-mo magic. I think Raiohead is perhaps the only other current-day band with a comparable range.

I'll do a top ten:

1. Man Of The Hour
2. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
3. Oceans
4. Sometimes
5. Nothingman
6. Thumbing My Way
7. Wishlist
8. Black (this was played at one of my shows with an Eleanor Rigby snippet...the one and only time it was performed that way So beautiful
9. Indifference
10. Off He Goes

For those new to the band, or if you're looking for further acoustic exploration, the following official releases are worth checking out: Live at Benaroya Hall is a great live recording. Also great is Live at the Gorge from 2006, which features an entire opening set of acoustic songs.

Unofficially, and never released, there's also this: http://www.mcgees.org/mp3/pearl_jam/mtv_unplugged/ MTV Unplugged, from 1992.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT omit I'm Open from this collection. Not necessarily a "song" in the conventional sense but it is slow, beautiful, and really transporting.

Could actually work as the lead track, actually, as it's kind of an invocation.

Excellent! I didn't think about an actual cd length. That's a lot of fucking work. :der:

Arc. I played that in the car one time for my grandmother...she said "I love native singers!"
