north american's! what's everyone doing for your national holiday?

Aussie interloper here but once again my son made me laugh, thought I'd tell you this tale............

His school days friends, 2 brothers, have pooled resources and bought a small house for themselves. They are having a house-warming party on July 4, to which son quipped "Independence Day" celebration!!!!They are moving out of their parents home.

I personally am getting my hair streaked for the first time ever on that day. Maybe I'll ask for red, white and blue stripes

I think I might go camping. I do not think that going to the mall (DC) this year is a good idea.
