A little biased floating here, but rarely do you see a team drop a lot of money on 4 free agents and actually hitting on all 4 of them. But that’s what the Packers achieved. Z Smith has totally changed this team. If Rodgers can get hot in the playoffs I may actually believe this team has a shot.

so even if they win their last game the browns will be the worst professional sports team of the decade and it's not even close. they will finish with a 2010-2019 winning percentage of .269 (or .262 if they lose to the bengals) with the next closest team being the jaguars at .319/.312, which seems close-ish but remember that the jags were less than a quarter away from going to the super bowl in 2017, whereas the browns haven't made the playoffs once since 2002 and had seven seasons in this decade where they won less than 5 games including the 0-16 in 2017.

i'm sure you'll all be super interested to know this.

the season ended without any catches by #85 WRs on the stats list but it turns out that there is a WR with the amazing name of bobo wilson who started the season as a punt returner on the bucs and caught three passes wearing #85, but he was cut after muffing two punts in week six. during week 15 wilson signed onto the carolina panthers practice squad and changed his number from 85 to 16 (even though nobody else on the panthers was wearing #85), which is why he doesn't appear on the stats lists in week 17 as a #85 WR.

but yeah, the only WR who made a catch while wearing #85 in the 2019 season was a guy named jesus "bobo" wilson.

football!

i'm a little bit irritated that it costs considerably less to get a good seat to see the home NFL team in a playoff game in houston than it does for a standing-room-only ticket to a midweek regular-season raptors game against cleveland.

Some cities just aren't great sports cities.
If the Falcons were hosting a game this weekend you could probably get thousands of tix for face value.

Belichick being a douche against the Jets a month ago coming back to haunt him NOT being the most satisfying part of that loss is shocking. But at least Favre didn't end his GB career with a pick SIX.

The pick six was on a deflection, not exactly Brady's fault.
And wouldn't be so sure that's how it ends. I think he's back next year. We shall see.

Not that there was much chance, but how stupid was it to not have Edelman back to field that last punt? Lost 5 seconds and at least 20 yards...idiotic coaching decision. Made O'Brien and McDermott's 4th down decisions late in regulation look like Mensa moves by comparison.

That was a "fuck it" throw to a blanketed receiver. Definitely bad luck that there was a defender around to field the deflection, but he forced the ball.

In any case, nothing should distract from how good Derrick Henry was tonight. They wouldn't have won without him.

Kind of had little choice but to force the ball with 15 seconds left from your own 1. (emphasizes just how stupid the decision to not have a returner back to field that punt is. You basically have 2 chances to win that game, block the punt or break a long return, and by moving Edelman up to basically no man's land 15 yards from the line of scrimmage you eliminated one of those longshot possibilities).

And Henry was immense. If they are to have any shot against the Ravens, he'll need to do it again. Maybe more.
