What makes a thread close? Not that it bothered me that U2girl was closed... Just that I'd like to know what made it close. what can make a thread close? That's my question!

Many things.

a) The thread is just people arguing heavily or taking stabs at each other.

b) The thread is exhausted and drawn out and the conversation is finished.

c) The thread is controversial or racist.

d) The thread belongs in a different forum.

e) The thread absolutely pointless.

f) When Sicy feels like closing it.

Thank!!!

But I wonder about d) the thread belongs to another forum

How can we know that? Are we tell to change in a specific section or is it just closed?

On the main page which lists the forums, is a description of what kinds of things are to be posted in that specific forum.

Usually the mods will close it and move it to the appropriate forum when they are not feeling lazy.

soul service may I make a suggestion?

Try to not start 5 or 6 threads in one evening in one forum. Alot of topics can be condensed to one thread.

In my opinion, it was mostly a), and partly b) in the case of your "U2girl" thread. I think that on average most closed threads get closed because of the "a)" reason.

i feel the tone of this thread is a shade argumentative, somewhat controversial(though i don't see racial underpinnings, i do notice some components of agism being excercised), and i am in general just plain tired of it.
