Hope is the only "Up" song I really like from that album.

But like is not a strong enough word.

It's one of their best tunes. It just builds, and builds. And I love that under all those keys and beeps is a strumming acoustic guitar.

Really, Out of Time isn't a great place to start with R.E.M.

I'd suggest you pick up Automatic for the People and Life's Rich Pageant. You can't go wrong there.

I'd honestly say that as a whole, I prefer R.E.M.'s catalog of albums to U2's entire Catalog. I mean, R.E.M. have at least 5 albums on par with The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.
