ordered from the thorp records site earlier:
the new breed - off the beaten path
angel city outcasts - let it ride

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Damn the Torpedoes
The best of the Velvet Underground
Iron Maiden - 2disc Live Rock in Rio
Queen - 2disc Bowl of Fire DVD

I got a good deal... I spent about $65CAD, and I imagine I would have spent about $85-95 elsewhere. Both the VU and Tom Petty were $5, Iron Maiden was $28 (usually metal cds are 35-40, double discs 40-50), and I've seen the Queen dvd at around $30, and I got it for $20. It's been a good day.

That's my favourite record of all time

Refugee and Don't Do Me Like That are two of my favourite songs of all time. There's not a bad song on that album, though, not by far. So, so, so good.

well i forgot to post last time i bought something so i'll just post all the crap i've bought the past two times...

def leppard: on through the night, high n dry, pyromania, hysteria
power station: power station (new remastered cd)

These arrived in the mail while I was away, I'm very excited to hear them all.

My Bloody Valentine - 'Glider' EP
My Bloody Valentine - 'Tremolo' EP
Pinback - 'Some Voices' EP

Roger Waters - Amused to Death
Foo Fighters - The Color and the Shape
INXS - Full Moon Dirty Hearts

I have absolutely no self-control:

The Dresden Dolls - 'A Is For Accident: Collected Live Recordings 2001-2003'
Gang of Four - 'Entertainment!' (Expanded and remastered reissue)
Stars - 'Set Yourself on Fire' (used)
Street Dogs - 'Back to the World' (used)

I am the same way. I've been listening to Her Majesty The Decemberists non stop but this weekend I bought a CD and I have two other albums to listen to and I'm already planning my next purchases. So much music so little time.

The Decemberists - '5 Songs' EP (oddly enough, there are 6 songs on it....)

I purchased this from MSN's version of iTunes, I had a "buy one song, get 5 free" voucher. Actually, I think anyone can log on there and get the same deal. $1 for a 6 song EP, not bad (especially since the CD of this is usually about $15).

Audioslave - 'Out of Exile'
At the Drive-In - 'Anthology: This Station Is Not Operational' (includes DVD)
Alkaline Trio - 'Crimson'

Modest Mouse - 'The Lonesome Crowded West' (used, $5.99!!!)

I like how all the new albums I bought today are bands that start with the letter A, quite strange....even more strange that all 3 of them were released today!

Concert tickets I bought yesterday and today (and the dates of the shows):

Bloc Party - May 25 (tomorrow!)
VNV Nation - May 31
Pinback - June 4

You're gonna have to listen to that Modest Mouse song I was telling you about. You know, the one with that weird title. And stuff.
