and emmylou harris - stumble into grace

I finally didn't feel even a little bit of guilt for buying new music again. Because I bought... :hyper:

U2 - Vertigo (all 3 versions, 2 track single, 3 track single and DVD single)
De Dijk - Niemand In De Stad

And I saw the new edition of Q magazine, the awards special that also has the review of HTDAAB. It came with a free CD called Best Of 2004.

And oh, bono_man2002: :shame: for buying these albums so late (they're U2's best records ever!), but  for buying such good music.

C ya!

Disintegration- The Cure

"That fucking record. Bastards. For like nine records, it was all about socks and cats and then that record." -Ryan Adams

That always cracks me up.

This is the results of a weekend in Phoenix with HeartlandGirl. We arent exactly good influences on each other to not spend money on music, quite the opposite in fact. (she'll prove that soon)

DJ Tiesto - 'Parade of the Athletes'
TheStart - 'Initiation'
TV on the Radio - 'Desparate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes'
The Notwist - 'Neon Golden'
Pinback - 'This is a Pinback CD'
Pinback - 'Offcell'
Broken Social Scene - 'You Forgot It In People'
U2 - 'Go Home: Live from Slane Castle' DVD (I know this isnt a CD, but I got it in a used CD bin for $8.99!!! I also know it's a sin that I'm just barely buying it now)

hi baby

Yeah, it may not be good for my bank account, but shopping for CDs with mofo is one of my favoritest things to do ever.

He picked up 7 CDs and a DVD, and I didn't want him to feel bad about spending so much, so I picked up 8 CDs.

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
Feeder - Comfort in Sound
Frou Frou - Details
DJ Tiesto - Parade of the Athletes
Tori Amos - Winter (single)
AFI - AFI
The Start - Shakedown!
The Start - Initiation

Well, you know the rest. Amazon better send this to me on time. They've been unreliable in the past.

Oh and I got a free sample cd as well with this month's Platomania magazine (which is also free).

I was also at Plato yesterday (but then the Utrecht outlet) and bought:
Elvis Costello - When I Was Cruel (2CD collector's edition)

However, I didn't notice the Platomania magazine, so no free sample CD for me. Is it any good? Who/what's on it?

It a sampler from the Domino lable. The only people on it I knew were Franz Ferdinand, The Kills, Elliott Smith and Pavement.

Other bands are:
Sons and Daughters
Archie Bronson Outfit
The Blueskins
Clinic
Clearlake
Max Tundra
Four Tet
Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks
James Yorkston & the Athletes
U.N.P.O.C.
Adem
Hood

It's not bad at all.

Placebo - Once More With Feeling, Singles 1996-2004 (with Remix Bonus Disc)
Suede - A New Morning

Vertigo singles aren't in my country yet :(

Duran Duran - Astronaut. Good to have the original five back together. The tour should be something.

I got these all at Walmart for about $9.99 each......

Frou Frou - 'Details'
The Explosion - 'Black Tape'
Dogs Die In Hot Cars - 'Please Describe Yourself'

Pretty great CDs for that price. I completely happy with all of them.

Ok, the used CD store was far too tempting on payday. They're all used, and they're all in amazing condition too. Great score!

AFI - 'Very Proud of Ya'
Bouncing Souls - 'Maniacal Laughter'
Cursive - 'Domestica'
Bjork - 'Debut'

EDIT:
I totally forgot that they gave me a free How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb poster too!!! It's rad!

 Birthday presents from mofo:

Placebo - Once More With Feeling with limited edition remix CD, (import)
Armin Van Buuren - Universal Religion: Chapter One (import)
Low - Christmas

I am thrilled about all three, but to have the Placebo one before I can buy it...mofo knows what a girl likes.

And then I went to the local record store to see if I can buy the new U2 album at midnight Monday/Tuesday (and I can), and I walked out with the following:

A Perfect Circle - Mers de Noms
Tori Amos - Hey Jupiter (single)
Sasha - Involver, special edition double CD

U2 - 'Vertigo' CD 2

I happy to have it, but Amazon lied at said it had 2 b-sides and a remix, I only got 1 bside and a remix. :(
