Name a physiological process

I need to write a short paper (2-4 pages) on a physiological process and include a diagram of the process. I'm looking for suggestions on any process that I can find enough informaiton on to write about and includes a good diagram that I can use. Thanks!

It has a good diagram with lots of little arrows and everything.

My medical terminology instructor likes to make us write papers in addtion to the zillion terms we have to learn.

Could you do something like the Cardiac Cycle? That is fairly Ok and there are diagrams in most books!!
