in about a week, me and two friends are departing for a big ol' road trip!

the ultimate destination is Illinois where wqe shall see Pedro the Lion. If you haven't heard any of his stuff you should...it's good. (kinda like a elliott smith vibe)
listen to:
-Minor Prophets and their prostitute wives
-Monarchs

we are also seeing Starflyer 59

we are also seeing the New Pornographers in chicago, July 6 at
THE METRO!!
(Jeff Buckley used to play there!)

then we are going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland

WORD TO YOUR MOTHER

I know you mentioned it...but where is Pedro the Lion playing...and what part of the state is that (I am too new here)?

Interference reception for Bassy in Chicago?

I am not sure if I have ever seen a Newfie Lic. plate!?

you should come to chicago too, yo

I think there may be 2 or 4 others from here going

WORD TO YOUR MOTHER

6th July:heart: heart: :heart:you've given me an idea for a gift:D
Drive safely and when the highway allows , like maniacs:D
turn up the volume and leave your mark.....sounds like a whole lotta fun.
Chi=energy
Car Go.....I hope so.

'scuse I please basstrap..
I wanted to tell deathbear something and posting here will save digging up an old and somewhat sad thread.
bear asked if Johnny Cash and June Carter had recorded"if i was a carpenter". I don't recall it being "their" song. I saw a brilliant documantary about JC a couple of nights ago and there they were, singing the aforementioned song. I am going to go bats trying to recall who sang the version that i heard when i was younger. I'm sure it wasn't June and Johnny.
????????bats????????
pardon me.......
back to the roadtrip..*sunglasses-check *water-check *map-check
*matches-check *smooth pick-up lines-check *bottle-opener-check..all that you can't leave behind:wave: again

he's on a christian label, yes
but in no sort of lame way

not like...lets say...DC talk.

Pedro rarely sings about his religious views and if he does it is very tasteful. And I don't think there is anything wrong with anyone singing about their beliefs anyway! :)
everybody sings about some passion I suppose

now my sig has three very nice and rich meanings

what would marx do? (original intention)

What would melon do? (recently added interpretation)

i was trying to get a picture of trotsky for my avatar, but anything bigger than 7000 bits is too big for this place. which is rough, because its hard to find a picture thats that size or smaller.

the last thing trotsky saw was an axe

too bad of him, eh?!
