Little is known about Mount Gay. Some say the Gods lived up there as a summer home away from Mount Olympus. Others say it would make for a good Club Med resort. No matter what they may say, Mount Gay is the shit. Party on, superthreaders.

"Only the Lonely" -> "Love My Way" is shaky, but that into "The Killing Moon" was good, methinks.

I thought it wasn't bad.

And yes, going into The Killing Moon worked perfectly.

I need time for VP's list, so I won't listen to all of The Killing Moon.

Awesome list, LMP. Despite one or two shaky transitions and some songs I didn't care for, a solid effort all around.

Thank ya, sir.

All right guys, I've now 48 posts in the last THREE threads...I'm quite proud of this whole having a life thing :D.

I'm liking Only The Lonely a great deal, LMP.

After this list is done, I'm probably off to Mishawaka to find a record store to buy my mom's birthday present

Damn, other than the rough Leone--->I'm Afraid Of Americans, the segueing has been perfect so far. Killer. Gotta say, Clint Eastwood is one of my least favorite Gorillaz songs, but it fit in quite well.

Awesome.

Panda Bear fucking rocks. I love their spacey, Beach Boys-esque sound.

Comfy In Nautica--->21st Century was a gimme thanks to that 20 second noise intro, but the rest of the song uses Nautica's intensity in its favor. Good call.

There are some weird looking segues coming up. It'll be interesting to see how it holds up. Personally, I think 21st Century--->And It Rained All Night would be an awesome transition.

so I just realized that for some reason a couple tracks on your list didn't go where they belong LMP...so I'm done with your list, but missed three songs :reject: ah well, I'm out for a while folks

21st Century was ridiculous because of the sax clamoring at the end. Hopefully my choice there works. I think the 21st all the way to And It Rained All Night is a little shaky, but the rest is solid.

That's okay, as long as you enjoyed it.

I did enjoy it. It was well put together, and I dont' think it was as mainstream as you seem to sorta think it is. But maybe I've just not as much experience in this genre either.

VP, I'll give yours a listen this evening.

21st Century--->II B.S. was sort of a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't kind of thing. Hardly anything was going to work there, and you made the most of it.

I got through Patti Smith earlier - don't know what her appeal is to people.

I had Friction on my list at one point, but a change to See No Evil was necessary due to a better fit.

The Ian Dury song was...interesting, I'll give you that.

I'm not the biggest Sex Pistols person, but Pretty Vacant has always been fantastic. And right into The Ramones was

That was my idea going into it. Probably the most out-there transition of the whole list not including Adam Sandler.

Catching up a bit more here...

Going into I'm The Man was awesome. Always liked that song.

Kudos for putting on a lesser known Pretenders track, although this is one I'm not particularly fond of. Not awful or anything, just ok.

The only issue I'm having with this list so far (and this is going to sound very picky) is that it's lacking a mood of any kind. The songs flow great, but it's jumping from party jamz, to epic Brian Wilson-isms, and then over to jazz. It's just a little too eclectic.

I tried to set up different moods within the sections and weave in between, you know?

Yeah, I get that. It's strange in playlist form though. If it were on LP as intended, it would come across a lot better. This is the same problem I had with I&L's DI4 list, except on a smaller scale. Their list was so damn segmented that listening to it in playlist form was one big WTF, because the sections didn't fit together at all.

At least your list is a good time for all, while theirs had that heavyhanded concept.
