Monterey or Woodstock?

Of the two great festivals (some people would argue Altamont, but I doubt many of those would think it was 'great') of the 60's rock/pop scene, which would you have preferred to go to?

Given the choice to go back in time and be at ONE of these festivals, which would you choose? Or maybe some other?

I would've gone to Woodstock, for sure! I mean I'd heard of the name ever since I was a kid and was just getting into music.

On the other hand, I don't even know about this Monterey festival you talk about.

Monterey, beacause The Who performance was epic

woodstock, because it happened on my birthday. (gee i was only -14 then!) so i'm a bit biased.

but seriously, i guess between the two i'll say monterey, even though the who played.

Monterey, for sure.

It was the model for every other music festival that followed (Woodstock, Coachella, Glastonberry, etc.).

First major appearance for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Otis Redding.

When I was young, I remember listening to records of the performances with my dad. It's good stuff.
