Lucas Giolito complete game shutout of the Astros in Houston. Eloy Jimenez three dingers in two nights. Let's fucking go.

Hey, the Twins have the best record in baseball so the division race is a bit lopsided at the moment. We're only 3 games back of the Wild Card.

#WildCard #Lazarus #Interference

Yeah, and that play should have never happened if:

A, Calvin Schiraldi hadn't turned into a deer in the headlights when one strike away from winning the World Series with the bases empty and a 2 run lead.

2. John McNamara had substituted for Buckner defensively with Dave Stapleton like he had 100 times previously that season instead of getting sentimental and wanting Buckner to be on the field for the final out (which I guess he was in a way)

Thirdly. Rich Gedman could block a pitch (sorry official scorer, that was a passed ball not a wild pitch on Stanley)

Its unfortunate that the highlight that will played ad nauseum tonight on newscasts is that ball rolling through Buckner's wickets...he deserved a better fate.

RIP.

The Phillies had a similar thing happen in one of the NLCS's against the Dodgers in the late '70s, where Danny Ozark failed to pull Greg Luzinski out of left field late in the game as he usually did, and Luzinski made a critical error to blow a game. The combination of that coming in an earlier series, and the Phillies getting a title in 1980 let them avoid infamy for it. It is a shame that Buckner was not so lucky.

Yeah, supposedly Red Sox have dispatched a plane (air ambulance) to fly him back to Mass General Hospital.

Robbery as was first reported apparently not the motive, possible hit.

This is some fucked up shit. The suspects planned it the night before... and apparently it showed. Good grief. If these dudes did their jobs, Papi would be dead.

I'm shitty with posting stuff, but has anyone seen the Machado strikeout tantrum or whatever you wanna call it? The umps are all pissed he only received a 1 game suspension. MLB is pissed that the umps tweeted their displeasure. Ok, hold up for one moment. Machado can't be doing shit like this. Whether he likes it or not, he is now a role model for young fans. He has got to keep his shit together. SD is paying a lot for him to do just that. Ok, back to the show. Unless the umps are going to fire Angel Hernandez or any other shitty umpire, they need to watch their tweets. I would have suspended him 1 game also. He can't be throwing a bat. Someone could get hurt.

And finally, rain sucks!!
