I am starting to respect Suzie’s talent.
She has really grown on me.
She is the best singer.

Does that mean she should front inxs?

Sorry, Angela Harlem, I this show. But I am not and never was an INXS fan like you. I just enjoy the interactions between these contestants and also their performances. It doesn't seem to be as catty as other reality tv shows.

Out of all of them, I think Suzie delivers best. Mig is my other favourite. JD is boring with his perpetual no-one-understands-me pout. Marty is boring too and I don't understand why INXS love his voice so much. I am glad Jordis is out.

Some random thoughts at 5 AM.

What's with all the hate for JD? So the guy is trying hard.. So what? It's a reality show and there's a goal they're shooting for. Is he the only one that remembers that? He's a very good songwriter.. Pretty Vegas was exceptional and I could see it on an INXS record; plus, most of the songs he's reworked have come off well too. Sure he has the potential to be a prima donna; but he is a rock and roll singer, people. He doesn't have the greatest range, but neither did Michael.

MiG is just too cheezy to front that band; and his voice is too high and rather shallow, and his stage performances either come off bland or rehearsed. He's always "chopping broccoli" And his songwriting is amateurish. "I'm free falling, free styling"??? He's definately a Brit-Pop singer and if this were Rock Star: Beatles, I'd be voting for him. But INXS is grounded in American R&B and I don't think MiG fits that mold.

Suzie could do it, I think. But for an old die hard fan like myself; I'm not sure I could get into a female singing the old songs. New ones? Sure. And while I might enjoy hearing her on the radio, I don't think I'd buy a ticket to see her.

It was alluded to earlier, and I was wondering myself; is Ty gay?

Marty's a tough one. He's talented. There's no denying that. But I think he's a bit too gothic, a bit too alternative, a bit too (as was said earlier) Kurt Cobain for a flashy pop band like INXS. That's not to say though that his Don't Change didn't give me chills. But all he can do is scream. His can't project his non screaming voice at all and it comes off too feminine. Sure, he'd be great on Listen Like Thieves, Elegantly Wasted, or Devil Inside; but I couldn't see him singing something like Never Tear Us Apart.

Ah, Jordis. Truely an amazing voice. I think if she had been on American Idol instead of Rockstar, she would've cleaned up. She was never a good fit and I'm glad to see her go. I have a feeling though, she'll outsell all of them in the very near future.

I'm gonna say JD and Suzie in the final two with JD winning. That is unless the rumors are true and the whole thing isn't rigged for MiG.

having seen both live this is my impression

of course I am not Australian

in an arcade at the Balboa fun zone.

now, the oils were truly an Australian band

they brought it in their music, instruments, lyrics, dress, stage props, etc.

a) Michael Hutchence can never be replaced and the remaining INXS members should form a new band or go take up golf.

I agree with B and C, even though I'm enjoying the show. I was an INXS fan for some time, and don't begrudge them wanting to continue playing music. But the way they're going about it does reek of $$$, which hey, whatever works for them.

However, I would be VERY surprised if their new version of INXS has any success beyond the state fair/casino circuit, just like the other bands carrying on with a new lead singer (Journey, Queen, Doors, etc.).

To you. And that's great for you. But starting with Listen Like Thieves and right up to their last album, they have shown a lot of soul/blues/RB influences and they admit that themselves.

Also, you are now talking solely about their 5th album to their 10th (? or however many albums INXS made). You didn't say that before.

INXS were based here in Perth back when they were the Farris brothers and the radio is quite obsessed with "our boys" (even though they belong to Sydney) . I have heard their songs from the start of their career to the end, seen them live, have the vinyl, etc, blah. Im not being flippant for arguments sake and I do disagree with you.
