I don't consider myself a Paris basher, I actually don't really mind her, whatever, she does her thing. But I'd like to know just how she provides hope for young people all over the world.

On her MySpace page this morning, she says her friend Joshua Capone started a petition, and asks that her fans "help and sihn [sic] it," adding, "I LOVE YOU ALL!!!" The petition takes the somewhat puzzling tack of pointing out that she's an heiress to the Hilton fortune, and that Paris "provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world."

OMG I TOTALLY sighned Paris's petition thingy!!! And not just because she's totally hawt (©2005 Paris Hilton™), but because it's, like...for justice and stuff! I believe that you should be able to drink as much as you want and then run over as many pedestrians as possible (mailboxes are worth bonus points! ) I mean, it's like...a free country, isn't it???

Paris Hilton is begging the Governator to give her a break -- and is pleading with her fans to sign a petition asking for her pardon.

On her MySpace page this morning, she says her friend Joshua Capone started a petition, and asks that her fans "help and sihn [sic] it," adding, "I LOVE YOU ALL!!!" The petition takes the somewhat puzzling tack of pointing out that she's an heiress to the Hilton fortune, and that Paris "provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world."

Meanwhile, TMZ has confirmed that Paris met with her longtime rep Elliot Mintz, whom she fired over the weekend, and now Us Weekly is reporting that Mintz has been rehired by Hilton. Later yesterday, Paris was accompanied by Mintz to an event called, appropriately enough, Sober USA. An Us witness says though Paris "held it together" at the event, her eyes were tearing. (At right, the merry pranksters at www.prettyontheoutside.com have produced their own image of Paris in the clink.)

I looked at this petition....and I have one thing to say to that: !

This little slag has pleaded no contest to drunk driving, she then continued to drive with a suspended licence and was pulled over in Feb. with that suspended licence while driving down a major thoroughfare with her lights off.

Her main argument for her defence is that she didn't know her licence was suspended. If anything, this tramp should go to jail for being completely stupid and ignorant to her surroundings and the safety of the people who live in it.

This petition and anybody who supports her is a slap in the face to anybody who has lost a loved one in a car accident to drunk drivers. I'm appalled and shocked.

Hilton's Jail Term Cut to About 23 Days

LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton will serve about half of her 45-day jail sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities said Wednesday.

The hotel heiress will spend about 23 days in a "special needs housing unit" at the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

Her sentence was shortened after jail officials gave her credit for good behavior, Whitmore said. Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including that she appeared for her latest court date, he said.

Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said.

Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said.

The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to jail this month for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. A judge ordered her to report to jail by June 5.

A call to her lawyer, DUI specialist Richard Hutton, was not immediately returned. Her publicist, Elliot Mintz, declined to comment.
