has anyone picked up the most recent Q ? just curious, i just saw it yesterday (not sure if it is recent anymore) and read the article about how mad radiohead was that the album leaked to the internet because the tracks were not yet finished. it was a pretty good article.

on a related note, my hairdresser who is a huge radiohead fan, told me yesterday that he has a theory that they are going to release another album very soon after HTTT. any thoughts on this?

my thoughts?

no. from what thom has said, in two years they wont even be recognizable as radiohead. i highly doubt theyll ever make another album, as thom has also said hes tired of them and would rather issue ep's.

yeah...I think they will do the EP thing

there's so much pressure on them to make great great albums with 10 tracks or more, each track being perfect. I think they would rather just put out solid EP's.

and that way they could make it more theme-oriented as well. One EP could be very techno and grooving...the next could be all slow and creepy!

Alas, I did not get tickets for Red Rocks. I was on the road for the Chili Peppers show and I tried to call in for tickets but didn't get through. Man, is TM-by-phone a nightmare these days--it's all automated, you can't get a human being on the phone, really frustrating. I was cursing a blue streak in the passenger seat as my friend who was driving kept telling me to just calm down.

But frankly, I wasn't too worried about it because the good seats at Red Rock are usually the first 25 rows which are GA. Tickets move slow there. You can still get a ticket for Bjork and REM, last time I checked, and they've been on sale for a couple of months. But when I finally was able to check for Radiohead seats online I saw they had switched the GA and reserved sections (first 25 rows are reserved for this show) and the whole damn show seems to be sold out. Oh well. Maybe something will open up.

I think talking to actual ticketmaster empolyees is only a close second to the torture in hell. Viva automation!

But, with that being said, I was calling the local number, and it was only offering me tickets for the St. Louis show.....I finally automated out of that and got to the Milwaukee/Chicago show, but after failing to get the get tickets in the "pit' or in the pavillion...it transferred me to "a representative"...but only after I would be on hold for 15 minutes....Thank GOD Mirrorball Girl got tickets.....

You have a point. But now I have an new appreciation for TM online. I was also trying to get Tori Amos tickets via the autmation and everytime I said "TORI AMOS" enunciating really clearly, the autmaton said, "You have requested tickets for Poison. Just one moment." My vocabulary got really interesting at that point and my friend wanted to throw me out of the car.

In the words of Posion....."talk Dirty to me" - or in your case...to the TM agent on the other line when they try to sell you Poison tickets instead of Tori Amos.

That's too bad! I've got 3 extra tickets for the Vancouver show. I just got back from there, actually. God I've missed that city!

Zoni:

Are you still interested in making it out here? I've got some tickets.

That goes for anyone, BTW

I would be a very happy camper if Radiohead hurried up and made a concert DVD.

That would suit my fancy.
