Anyone else know and like this band?
As many of you know, I'm a huge fan of Manic Street Preachers, and everywhere I went on music sites, Mansun was listed as 'similar to' the Manics, and I noticed that lots of Manics fans like Mansun too. So I decided to give them a try.
I bought "Attack of the Grey Lantern," and it sounded so dated to me that I didn't really like it. But a girl on last.fm, who is a huge Mansun fan, sent me a whole slew of b-sides and rarities, and those I quite like! My favorites are "Vision Impaired" and "The Gods of Not Very Much."
I know the band broke up a couple years ago, but I thought I'd see if anyone else here had anything to say about them. I feel like I want to get into them more, I'm just not sure how...
