What mainstream band has the most "integrity"?

I know a lot of people see mainstream bands as bands that have lost integrity, to me I find that silly. But who do you see as being the one mainsteam band that has been able to stick to it's guns?

To me it's Pearl Jam.

They offer every live show, they play 'Masters of War' on the Letterman Show not trying to sell their album, they've constantly made great music, they tried to fight the good fight even though they've sometimes lost(ticketmaster), and they've done a great job making things available to fans.

i'm really not sure anymore as to what is mainstream and what isn't.

pearl jam is indeed a good choice. as is neil young.

i hate to bring them up again, but radiohead have done what they can to fight the good fight too. read: avoiding clear channel venues whenever possible, doing tent shows, etc.

yeah, i'm unsure these days too. Even the indie labels who used to have an anti-mainstream reputaion are spawning, well, mainstream acts. I think it's just because public taste in music has changed so much recently.

but anyway....

I'd say Radiohead too.
