London, anyone?... since it's not official apparently.

For selfish reasons I'm going to London/Chelsea during the first week of September... any British gents or ladies have suggestions for places to visit? Within a reasonable vicinity.

Any stories about dear old London, that may help me to avoid an early expulsion from the ancient bird?

PS- no one follow me there. That would be creepy.

Thanks for your suggestions, they are appreciated and oft times recognized.

Must sees: Tower of London, Trafagliar (sp?) Square, at least one show in the West End, Maddam Tussaud's Wax Museum.

The people are wonderful, so I'm sure they'll tell you of other sites. Also---the street performers (mimes, etc) are fun to watch.

Yeah, definitley. Camden is a great place. And if you like Indian food then try Brick Lane. It's an entire street of Indian restaurants

And run to ground our heathen foe
Our name will never die
This time will be forever

Oh yes!

wow that's really cool! I hope you have fun. Try not to catch any(more) venereal diseases while you're there. I've never been there so i don't have any advice. Take lots of pics!

Done and done.

I'll send you a photograph (ala Def Leppard) of my chest signed with lipstick.

I was also wondering about any music gigs worth checking out...

PS- meeganie... it's business. I'm sure you're not interested. Don't worry, I'll maintain a twelve block radius of restraint.

Go see the Bono waxwork in Rock Circus

There's a list of bands doing UK tours...it might be worth having a click on some to see if they'll be playing while you're here

How about the Tate Modern? The Ten Bells pub is cool if you're into uh...serial killer history. Drink a few pints of cider for me. Can't get cider like that over here, and man do I miss it!

I think they have pubs in London. Maybe you can find one somewhere.

Seriously, I know this is really touristy, but if you want to see the sights quickly and easily take one of the Hop on Hop off tours. You buy a pass and the buses take you around town. There is a guide aboard who tells you stuff. If a sight sounds interesting you can get off and see it and then catch the next bus. You can skip anything you want.

If you like art, the British Museum and the Tate Museum are excellante!!!

See a show if you can. There are places where you can get cheap same day tickets.

Of course, there are also the Pubs.

Look into a transit pass. Last time I was in London, I got a three-day pass for the Underground and all buses for one price. There were times I would ride a bus to the end of its line just to visit a different part of town. A great deal.

screw the stalker-talk. can i come with you? we can work out the details of stuffing me in your trunk and developing a top secret material that makes the x-ray machines at the airports think you're just bringing clothes.
