Kiss Them For Me & Lady With The Spinning Head

I'm listening to these songs back to back and realizing they're very similar. Kiss Them For Me by Siouxsie & The Banshees came out in 1991 and Lady With The Spinning Head was released on the One single in 1992. The main melody in these songs sound so similar to me that I'm thinking... killer mix of Kiss Them For Me with samples of U2 thrown in.

Guys, please listen to both songs and tell me honestly that I'm not smoking any of the good stuff.
