Does anyone here listen to this amazing improv pianist? Even more amazing is how he achieved all this while suffering epilepsy.

I used to listen to The Köln Concert a lot--it used to be like a spiritual experience for me. It's just brilliant. I haven't listened to it in years, though, and it's the only one of his records that I have. I didn't know about the epilepsy, or anything about him at all actually, so that's interesting to know. Maybe it's time to blow the dust off Keith and give it a listen.

The only recordings I've listened to is Live At La Scala, and Inside Out (with two other jazz musicians)... La Scala is absolutely amazing.

I used to listen to him alot.
For my college final in ear training, (I majored in music) I transcribed the piano to "I Fall In Love Too Easily" from his Standards 2 CD.
His vocalizings start to annoy me sometimes.
I also wasn't aware he suffered from epilepsy.

Um, I got it wrong. He suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome, to the extent that he is unable to play for little more than a few minutes at a time. :|
