Coast, city or countryside?

I've always loved the coast. Of-course if I lived there day in, day out with the huge mists rolling in off the sea, the horrific storms, and the cliffs at the bottom of my garden crumbling away till there's just a metre between my back door and a hundred foot drop onto the rocks below- I could well change my mind!

I love to be within driving distance of the city, but the coast ROCKS!! Right now, I'm 40 mins from NYC, about an hour from a decent beach and about 45 mins from gorgeous mountains. And people say NJ is a bad location......

I'm mostly a city person, but i love it when i get to the coast too, it's beautiful near to where i live but i also love going through forest with all the gorgeous pine trees around, and there are plenty in Scotland!
