Interference Random Movie Talk Episode VIII: First Contact with Lance's Mom

The remake that would excite me the most would be of The Prisoner. Is that even a remake, per se, if it was never a film in the first place? Anyway, if done properly, it would be awesome.

There's a remake of Dune coming in 2010 or whatever that is going to suck fucking ass cos Peter Berg is at the helm. Lynch's version sucks but at least it's hypnotic as times....

The Prisoner is already happening. On AMC. There's a trailer for it already.

With Jim Caviezel as #6 and Ian McKellen as #2.

You didn't know about this?

YouTube - The Prisoner Comic Con Promo

WTF????

Last I knew, it was listed on IMDB as in development....but that was obviously years ago.

Holy fuck, how did I not know this? Or, did I know it and forget? I say that because I am prematurely senile for sure. Fuck.

He still feels guilty about being responsible for Caviezel's death.

I can't be bothered to go back and check 27 pages and catch up...

but did you guys know that Goldblum is dating Alex from LOST?

I shit you not.

here's a link.
Showbiz - News - Jeff Goldblum 'dating 21-year-old' - Digital Spy

He may be dead but he's the fuckin' man.

Dude.... dude. Dude.

Did I not totally say I saw them on an episode of Law and Order together like just last week? With Stephen Motherfucking Lang as well? The Blum is a fucking GOD man. And I have a feeling that if he hadn't passed away so tragically before his time, Lang would fucking kill him for hitting on his woman. At least that's what I've come to believe from Law and Order aka my holy gospel.

Like NSW, last I heard that remake of The Prisoner was a long ways off...
It says 2009 on the wiki, this fall maybe?

Six episodes...I don't see any writers listed.

But if you got Jesus in the movie, it can't be awful, right?
There is British involvement as well, which probably can't hurt.

Actually I was just reading about the Dune remake too, last night.
Peter Berg...I only really remember him as an actor.
I think just being in Aspen Extreme should disqualify him from directing that remake.
Although the original...let's face it, was almost as bad as Tron.

There can't be a whole lot of things that piss NSW off more than a Dune remake, right?

Wow, District 9 currently has an 8.8 on IMDB after 25k votes.

I'm sure it will come down but that's a pretty good response.

If Gran Torino can stay in the Top 100, anything is possible.

I cannot believe that Shutter Island is being pushed to next February. Motherfuck.

So I'm seeing (You) Inglourious (Little) Basterds at 3:10 tomorry. Mazel tov!

I had made a Lance's Mom post but it was sub-par. I have standards.

D9 is on tap for sure for me, and possibly Basterds afterwards. But I said that already, so I'm just sort of repeating myself.

District 9 will probably end up as a wait-for-DVD for me.

Post Grad with an 09% on the Tomatometer? Is GAF okay?

I just saw District 9, followed by (You) Inglourious (Little) Basterds.

Pretty awesome double feature, and a great way to spend my Saturday morning/early afternoon.
