Bruce Springsteen - Born in the U.S.A.

So...this is going to be interesting.

This was my list.

It's terrible.

It's VERY you, Axver. I didn't know you liked Catherine Wheel though.

I dig Catherine Wheel, but no way would they make the list if I made it today.

I've been really losing my fondness for Dream Theater, so they'd slide far down the list. Probably only Awake would stay.

It has the wrong REM albums. Well, Fables is right, but there's no excuse for having Life's Rich Pageant when Murmur and Reckoning both are superior.

And I can't believe The Verve's A Storm In Heaven isn't there. What was I thinking?

I don't think Images and Words is going to make it, but it's possible. It's POSSIBLE.

I feel like there was MORE I wanted to add to this list, but then, actually, what was that 7 or 8? That's a pretty healthy number.

Notice that I absolutely hate using more than one artist on a list. Even before, I kept to two when the limit was three.

Surprised to see Meddle so high on your earlier list, LM.

I'll do a new list soon. Not that I'm confident in my picks outside of my top three, which will remain unchanged from last time.

Meanwhile, I'm doing something I should've done a long time ago: downloading Ride's early EPs.

Yeah, it only got the axe on the second one because I only used one album per artist, but I love that album.

I did finally get around to hearing Nowhere, btw. Vapor Trail is so fucking good.

I really can't bring myself to find much of interest on Meddle.

Oh man, Vapour Trail is incredible. Though I think Dreams Burn Down is the best song there, and perhaps the best shoegaze song full stop. Wait, no, the best 'gaze is Duress by Swervedriver.

I'm alright. Woefully unprepared for a presentation I have to give tomorrow. It's on the riveting topic of Hitler's personal rulership style.

Hard to believe this is an Honours class, it really is.

god, it sounds so laden with pretentious wank, a lot of your course, ax! i don't know how you don't suffer a permanent migraine.

and how are you, dear trashleyashleypashley?

I hate both of the classes I've got to do this semester and truly resent their existence.

It's not as if I had many other options either, thanks to History courses being slashed and academics being fired. :grumpy:

New Dawn Fades and She's Lost Control don't do it for you? :tsk:

... wow.

Few songs mean as much to me as New Dawn Fades. It's an ASOH or an OTH.

Plus it's great fun to play on guitar.
