Tiger and Jetstar fly the same planes as Air NZ does, and a number of other safe airlines.


New Zealand:

QANTAS: Ripoff and you might get there if the flight leaves at all
Air NZ: Not so bad, but cramped as a mofo
Pacific Blue: Cheapish and comfortable but not regular services

Air NZ: Not so bad, but cramped as a mofo

The flight from Honolulu to Auckland was a United flight but operated by Air NZ... but it was overnight so it sucked anyway. And it was pretty squashy from Auck to Melb... but I had nice people sitting to either side of me and had a good conversation, so it wasn't all bad.
