That says it all, my man !!

Unfortunately, JA couldn't get a sniff on main stream pop radio of the early 90s.

I don't think JA would have it any other way though.

I miss that time of innocence when Will Smith's Men In Black and Aqua's Barbie Girl ruled the charts :(

oh every one in my town hates her, shes from here!!!

it was a good song though!!!

I loved that song when I was little. Still do, actually. 'Tis a good song indeed :).

 to "Groove Is In The Heart", too, that song is awesome. A lot of the songs mentioned here are quite good. Ah, memories...:D.

*Misses "Pop-Up Video", too* That show ruled.

Oh boy!!! My IQ just dropped a whopping 40 points just reading that list. Since I only had 41 to begin with, I'm in deep shit.

Too bad. Not everyone's a music snob, mr. wise guy!

Am I seeing things, or did someone list RHCP's 'Under The Bridge' as a forgotten song?

It's only their stairway

Compared to the ACTUAL top40..

1. Ne-Yo

Sure he's #1 and HE CONNECTS with young fans but it's the same old sound and an example of WHAT'S WRONG with the industry. He can dance WELL. I like guys who CAN DANCE.

2. High School Musical

Marketing substance OVER musical substance. Young GIRLS are connecting but are they FEELING it? I didn't FEEL it. CONNECT whatsoever. So this will be dead in weeks. NOBODY will remember.

3. Hawthorne Heights

So Tony was #3 this week. HE DOESN'T GET IT. It's NOT about CHARTS. It's ABOUT CONNECTING. The fans DIDN'T CONNECT. They didn't DISCOVER this band. With the HYPE. Tony will fail. He doesn't P2P or ITUNE.

4. Alan Jackson

Jackson GETS IT. HE CONNECTS with FANS. A gospel collection. It SELLS. I DON'T GET IT. I don't have ANY use for GOSPEL. If Jackson Browne or the Eagles aren't SINGING songs about GOD. I don't NEED it. I CAN'T CONNECT.

5. Johnny Cash Collection

Further proof the INDUSTRY doesn't GET IT. Do yourselves a favor. P2P it.

6. Mary J Blige

Why is this SELLING. I saw HER on the GRAMMYS. With BONO. Awful. COULDN'T CONNECT. FEEL THE MUSIC. She has fans. SHE gets IT.

7. Jack Johnson

Proof he GETS touring. He SELLS shirts. He DOESN'T NEED to sell plastic DISCS. His FANS do it ANYWAY. They download on P2P. They GET IT. He GETS IT. The INDUSTRY doesn't GET IT. Universal GETS IT.

8. Carrie Underwood

Carrie WHO? WHO is SHE? I know she WON the American IDOL. They GET IT. The people voting DON'T GET IT. Who CONNECTS to HER? She's CUTE. I'd DO her. I DO anything. As you all KNOW. She MAY NOT be one of the Bangles. OR LINDA Ronstadt. I'd STILL do her. I don't GET her music. Too PRODUCED.

9. James Blunt

I wrote ABOUT this guy. AWHILE Ago. He's GOOD. The FANS obviously GET HIM. Sony is OVERSELLING him. CLIVE isn't GETTING IT. Let his MUSIC find the FANS. Don't OVERSELL HIM. His VOICE is HIGH. He ISN'T Jackson BROWNE. OR England Dan. But he's GOT ONE good song. I CONNECTED to it. I GET IT.

10. Andrea Bocelli

Who BUYS this guy's CDs? Who BUYS CDs ANYMORE? Why do OLD people BUY stuff like THIS? I say the INDUSTRY doesn't GET IT. I take it BACK. The FANS don't GET IT. Supporting AN ARTIST like this by BUYING the PLASTIC DISCS. THEY ARE OBSOLETE. BOCELLI is OBSOLETE.

LMAO @ obsolete.

That word will never stop being funny.

Also, this is a 5 star thread.

But you missed the best one!
