How many songs do you have on your computer?

about 10,600, less than half of which were put on my ipod. i've got all my cds ripped, all my vinyl, a bunch of mp3s i've picked up from various bands' sites, some illegally downloaded material (small percentage, i'm slowly acquiring legal copies).

after factoring in bootlegs, there's really not as much variety as there could be. there are several songs of which i have +8 versions (album, live, acoustic, etc.)

I keep most of the bootlegs I've collected on data cds so as not to clog my computer... there's probably 2000 + files on those cds..

As for iTunes... I've got 4742 songs currently, of which 832 are U2

probably by liking a lot of bands? or being totally nuts about bootleg completist collecting?

Some of you guys have big collections (I sincerely hope you all downloaded them legally )

I have very little stuff on my PC, but about 170 CD's I think, not counting cassette tapes, sundry singles on CD and tape and various other bits and bobs.
