i could make a list of punk rock bands with interesting springsteen covers...this is one of them. anyone else heard it? it was on a compilation no idea put out back in january.

uh...it's pretty cool if you like that sort of thing

The "Light of Day" Springsteen tribute has a few. Can't recall specifics. But if I invoke the great controversy as to Elvis Costello's original musicianship and attitude as punk or new wave and side with punk then I can say that, despite it is not a punk approach, his cover of "Brilliant Disguise" is my favorite cover of a Springsteen song by a possibly-pseudo-iffy punk artist.
