NO, RADIOHEAD INVENTED A NEW KIND OF MUSIC, THEY WEREN'T INFLUENCED BY ANYONE, U2 SUX

they are a little similar I supposed, I never really noticed. I think Pablo Honey has some U2y stuff too

And High & Dry was one of the pre-show songs on the Elevation tour and at one of the shows I saw, U2 played Stay. Coincidence? :eyebrow:

Not really

Yeah, other than the fact that they're both enjoyable "slower type" songs by enjoyable groups, I'm not hearing it either.

oh and High and Dry was probably written first.............it was written during the Pablo Honey sessions......
the band even had a recorded version....they just didn't like it:shrug:

They're both the most mainstream sounding songs on the respective albums. Stay is my favorite from Zooropa whereas High & Dry is not my fav song from The Bends, even though I do like it a lot.

:hmm: Come to think of it, The Bends > Zooropa.

imo.

surprised noone else has said that the chord progression is identical during the verses.

that's why the songs sound similiar.

both fantastic songs, though stay is much, much better.
