i didn't try to fry an egg on the pavement, but i saw news reporter talking about it and he actually tried cracking an egg into a silver dish but it didn't seem to do anything! 
Anyway, it was cloudy for some of the day but it had brightened up by 5, and it's still hot although not quite as bad as yesterday!

We tried to do the egg on a sidewalk when we were kids. It was funny. Didn't completely cook, but the clear part started to slowly turn sort of white

I know! It rained here the other day which freshened things up a bit but the temperature has climbed back up again. Still not hot as it was though IMO.

Despite there being a really bad thunderstorm in the Vale of York (which I'm quite near to) all we got my way was a bit of thunder...no lightning...nothing

I have totally had it.
And then to think I thought China was hot.
It feels so much hotter here.
In China it was overcast.
In Shanghai, the evening would usually start with a thunderstorm and some rain.
Here: No cloud in sight. Only the burning sun! No thunderstorm and no rain.
And it doesn't look like the temperature will go down all that much next week.
Don't ask me how warm it was in my apartement.
I don't have a thermometer, so I don't know.
But there's no airco.
The fan is on, but I don't feel it at all.
for the complex swimming pool.
Of course not open at night.
the sprinklers just went on.
And I so wanna go outside in my PJ's and run through them.
Tomorrow I'm going to the coast.
Where it seems to be cooler.
I don't know how much sleep I'll get.
This is going to be a hell of a night.
