Have we ever done a listening party?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
1/2 the fun would be picking the record.

This whole thing sounds cool, yet it will be a MAJOR bitch to pull off.

But we could do it. Interactive up the ass.

Ok, should we start:

Easy: A U2 record everyone here should have.

Hard: A record I pick, cause I rule.

Then we'll pick a date/time.

My suggestions are:

U2 - Htdaab
Coldplay - X&Y
Oasis - DBTT
Green Day - American Idiot

you get the drift... recent albums

I'd have to agree. Recent and popular.

Maybe the first on a U2 board should be HTDAAB.

Much as as I'd love to share Jellyfish and The Boo Radleys with ya'll.

This won't be the actual vote, I'll have to post a poll w/ a cut off.

If there's U2 or free music involved, I'm there.

If there's Tim Tams, I've already been there and eaten them all.

Now, I would be happy to share this album with anyone who wants it

(It's actually one I listen to quite a bit :) )

I would go for Oasis "Don't Believe the Truth"

I've checked many record shops for passengers and can't find it.

I'm a hardcore U2 fan who hasn't heard it yet. Can you ysi to me??

This is what i'm thinking:

New Mainstream rock:

U2- HTDAAB

Coldplay- X & Y

Oasis- DBTT

Green Day- American Idiot

Bruce Springsteen- Devils & Dust

Or The Classics:

Bob Dylan- Highway 61 Revisited

David Bowie- The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust

The Beatles- Abbey Road

Queen- A Night At The Opera

Neil Young- Harvest

I'll take opinions for the rest of the day, and post a poll of 1 of these 2 options tonite.
