i want to put together a mix of the best rap covers and i need suggestions. here's what i've got so far:
dynamite hack - boyz in tha hood
ben folds - bitches ain't shit
the gourds - gin and juice
[edit to add] nina gordon - straight outta compton (this is a pretty good cover)

i also realize that their are punk covers of like every song ever written, but i don't want to rely on them too much. i would like to keep the chill vibe that these first songs have.

dynamite hack, awesome :lmao: i forgot about that.

i can't think of anything, punk or not punk.

Tori Amos - '97 Bonnie and Clyde

Of course, this cover is superserious and definitely lacks the ironic detachment of Dynamite Hack and Ben Folds, be warned.

Coldplay sometimes snippets Hot In Herre or something similar.

Okay I'm going to duck now.

:reject:

RATM " Fuck The Police" or "How i Could Just Kill a Man"

Not big suprises but still better than the originals
