Just started watching the first season so I could understand what everyone in the world is talking about half the time - I was pretty skeptical at first, but as soon as I saw Kit Harington holding a puppy I knew it wasn't gonna be so bad. I'm finding the huge cast a lot less confusing than I was expecting, too. Still not a massive fan of high fantasy/medieval settings but the cast is so good that it's easy to be drawn into it. Tyrion and Arya are great.

It's a reboot, so I'm not shocked they're going with a new actress.
I was going to say she would be quite a young Sarah Connor, but after a bit of wiki reading, Linda Hamilton was 28 when the film came out, by the time this film comes out Emilia Clarke is probably going to be about the same age, so eh.
