my cat is not that lazy. He's on the go all the time and wants my constant attention all the time. Thankfully he has found harmless things to do with his time and has stopped most of his destructive behavior. But I'm waiting for the day when he just lays around doing nothing.

Think my Cleo is the laziest cat on the planet. She's probably one of the fattest, too. Sigh. It's a long story as to how she got so chubby, but anyway.

What's everyones advice on worms? One of the new kitties, ruby, is a little too small. Her spine protrudes, her ribs are very easy to feel, and her back legs/bum area is just plain thin. We've only had her a week and my vet hasn't been able to give her her shots and health check yet, so I've just been trying to feed her up - which is difficult because she only shows a casual interest in food, I've wormed and flea'd her, give her kitty milk, wet and dry food, just try to inject life and love into her but she's lethargic and quiet a lot of the time. She's a happy girl, but acts like an old cat. She plays occasionally but I can't help worry... Meggs on the other hand is a typical mental kitten. She's awesome. She thinks she's part Sumatran Tiger.

She could have parasites or another condition which is causing her to be lethargic. Regular tapeworm doesnt usually cause that.

What wormer was used? Here in the States the stuff they sell at a pet store or grocery store often does not cover as many parasites or is not dosed as well as a wormer from the vet. Also if the cat actually has worms, there should be more than one treatment because you have to make sure to get the parasite in the right stages of its life. Beckham had roundworms once and the vet gave me multiple treatments for *every* cat. Generally if worms are confirmed, we treat all the animals because it passes so easily and is not really worth waiting to see if another animal gets it. So if the new kitten has worms I would get the appropriate wormer from the vet for all of the cats (when Beckham had roundworm, Posh was a kitten and she was treated as well with kitten doses).
