I find that occurs with all of McCarthy's writing.

His writing is very evocative and lush.

Yes, he's not McCormac, he's Cormac, or McCarthy, or Cormac McCarthy.

Yeah, but McCormac makes me laff.

Perhaps its the sparse poetic writing and leaving so much to the reader's imagination that is half of what makes the book so impactful, but damn if those images don't look exactly as I pictured the story, more than any other book to movie transition I've seen.

There was talk about Pearce playing a really fucked-up character though (I'll see if I can dig it up) so I'm wondering if he might be playing a leader of that "army" they encounter...

There is another actor "Bob Jennings" who's character is simply called "Cannibal" so I am assuming he one of the ones in that awful house they stumble upon :shudder:
