here's a recipe for eggnog:

4 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar, plus 1 tablespoon
1 pint whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/4 ounces bourbon
1 1/4 ounces dark rum
1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
4 egg whites

i don't like it. too many eggs

In the bowl of a stand mixer beat together the egg yolks and 1/3 cup sugar until the yolks lighten in color and the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the milk, cream, bourbon, rum, and nutmeg and stir to combine.
Place the egg whites in the bowl of a stand mixer and beat to soft peaks. With the mixer still running gradually add the 1 tablespoon of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the mixture. Chill and serve.

i don't mind raw eggs so much (i do eat cake batter and cookie dough sometimes, just a sample) but yeah that's nasty. especially with all the booze in it. i don't like bourbon or rum, but they do make kid-friendly versions of eggnog. mayhaps i will try it this coming christmas just so people will stop hassling me when i tell them i don't like it even though i've never tasted it before.

It tastes just like Dean's Eggnog that's in the dairy section next to the milk during Christmas time ...
