When you are sending out an email to a friend (ex. Hey, wanna go to the movies tonight??, do you want to grab a drink after work???, guess who called me last night, etc.) What do you title it??? I used to always just say "Hello", or "Hey", but I thought that was really lame. I went through a faze of using movie quotes, but now I am using song title's. Today I sent out the following emails:
"It's a beatiful day"
"Come Out and Play"
"Manic Monday", and
"What's goin' on?"

How about..."Hey...remember me? No? You're going to delete this? Ah, screw you!"

"I don't know you,
But you don't know the half of it..."

You're right, "Hello" and "Hey" are kinda lame but I use 'em. Truth is, I just don't want to bother with trying to think up something clever because I'm anal about stuff like that and I'd spend 1 or 2 minutes trying to be clever - not worth my time.

I have one friend who titles her e-mails with the names of foods.

I like wordplays. The best title I ever came up with was "a muesli of music"... (yeah I do keep track of my titles cos I'm pathetic and sad and bored)... Title-giving is a niche art... I'm being totally serious in this post...

I always try to come up with something witty. I once wrote a mail titled "All your database are belong to us" and scared the hell out of our DBA because thought it was some sort of virus.

Also, many years ago, I sent out a memo to the entire department about a serious issue, and then at the end wrote "For more information, press F2", which was the key that would log them out of the entire system. After about a minute, I started hearing horrified screams from all the people who got kicked out!

"Free beer!" is good if you need people to read or respond to something important. If the office population is mostly female, try "Cake at my desk!" instead.

LMAO @ Klodomir!

I'm too boring to think of anything interesting so my subject is always 'hey', 'hi again'....

Catch em off guard - call it 'click here for great porn!' or something...

No, really, short and sweet is best for an email title. Most busy people never seem to read their emails anyway. Or, you'll get a response three months later when it doesn't matter much one way or the other...

"Once again
I'm in trouble with my old friend
She is papering the windowpanes
She is putting on a smile
Living in a glasshouse..."

LOL, Klod!!! You are so evil!!

I once used to title emails with excerpts from Steak and Shake menus. But lately it's been the lame Hey or Hi's.

(Haha-too bad Lady Lemon's not here, she loves my email titles!!!)

That's one of my regulars.

"if you're bored and you know it read this mail"
"well, this will make your day"
"I feel like chicken tonight"

so, anything lame I can think or really
