I can't let that go without saying, Holy fuck, that would kill me in the best possible way.

How to start a concert in style and kill Ali:

1. God Part II
2. Bullet The Blue Sky
3. Exit
4. Acrobat
5. One Minute Warning

Ha, fair point. I wouldn't mind Adam doing some more vocals, tbh.

I wouldn't mind Adam doing more in general.

Haven't you read that before? I had to stop after the third page cause my head was going to explode. That's what happens when an unstoppable force (logic) meets an immovable object (Screw).

Chass linked to LM's parody thread, not Screw's original.

hey ax

i'm good, a bit tired though. i happened to get home just as my parents were off at storage picking up our christmas decorations so i drove over to help. now i'm watching one of my most favourite movies ever

Isn't it just a wee bit early to be getting out your Christmas decorations? I mean, even over your way it's not yet Thanksgiving! (Speaking of which, what date is that this year? All I know is that it's pretty soon.)

I'm yet to decide if I'll decorate my place or not ... I'll be in Queensland on Christmas itself.

Oooh and I need to make some fruit mince pies soon!

elevator attendants!! how freaking awesome to have someone there to just press a button. though in the building where i work there's someone sort of like that, but they're on the ground floor pressing the up/down buttons, i guess to make sure people can get to what floor they need in a hurry.

i actually passed a couple houses with lights up already on my way home from work  to me, i think mid-november is perfect. though if it were up to me i'd have a tree up year-round. and thanksgiving is on the 27th i believe? that should be a thursday. but it's this coming thursday. i can't freaking wait!!!!

When I was a kid, there was a building downtown that still had an old fashioned elevator with a metal gate and an old man to operate it. It was awesome.

:swoon: how awesome. one of the casinos i used to work at had one of those industrial type elevators where the door goes up and down instead of side to side, if that makes sense.

Ah, cool. I haven't been out at night much at all lately, so I've no idea if anybody here has lights up already. Or if many people do that around here at all. I didn't check last year. When I lived in Queensland, Mum and I would go drive around and check out all the lights. Good times.

Right. I was wondering where it had got to, since I remember Kate and I celebrating it last year before she left on the 24th (and before anybody :eyebrow:s me for remembering that date, it's only because she left on the day of the federal election, and I am not going to soon forget the glorious date that Australia kicked out Howard!).

Refresh my memory - what are you bidding on? I remember us discussing Sweet Talking Spoon Song, but I'm not 100% if that was something you were bidding on or something we thought would be cool ...

yeah, every year the number of people who decorate goes down :depressed: though there's a couple houses in town that are awesome, they decorate for everything. one house has an inflatable turkey outside (it's cute, trust me) and another decorated for halloween. so did the other, but still. awww, and my mom and i go driving and check out the lights too :cute: ugh!! that reminds me. the prettiest house ever in town, kinda near me, i won't get to see it every day anymore. i drove past it going to and from my old job. i technically could still drive past it if i took the interstate, but it's faster going the back way. the house is gorgeous. tons (but not overboard) of the prettiest blue lights. like, they're BLUE. most blue lights are kind of odd, but there are a gorgeous deep blue, but very bright.

yeah, it's kind of a pain that the date always changes. it's the last thursday of november. :) for a brief time it was the third thursday (i think it was the third and not the second) when fdr was president to help retailers have more shopping time.

yes! :cute: god i hope i win this.

 My Sid and Nancy CD as Gary Oldman covering Sid Vicious's rendition of Elvis Presley's cover of Frank Sinatra's version of "My Way".

Six degrees of music separation?

Oooh, awesome. On the Gold Coast, there were a couple of businesses relatively near us that would do really spectacular displays. It seems none of the houses on any of my usual routes have done much at all - to find the impressive ones, we usually had to go driving to places we normally didn't visit. But we found some awesome stuff that way. Unsurprisingly, in some of the posh suburbs full of wealthy knobs living in their swanky summer mansion, you'd find these utterly over-the-top displays. Some were absurd but some looked quite good.

Haha, the date was changed to help out retailers? That's hilarious!

And good luck!

i have to ask you all a very important question...how do you like your chicken fried?

Er ... fried? I didn't know there were different ways.

Keep in mind here that I pretty much don't eat chicken any more, since it costs so much, so I'm not exactly knowledgeable about how to cook it. :(

Me?

Sorreh, hungry. Saw food.

*sees edit* Well, in that case, I like Cracker Barrel's version. Buttermilk batter, fried to a crisp, with hot sauce all over it.

ooh, awesome. some businesses here decorate, though. of course the mall always looks gorgeous. and yes! we always go to nicer neighbourhoods because they always decorate.

lol, yeah. it was during the great depression or world war two, can't remember which. it wasn't very popular and didn't last long! after that, it was made a federal holiday on the last thursday of every november.

 sorry, i'm just quoting the movie i'm watching.

Oddly enough, I can't think of any of our malls really going overboard with lights. Trees and tinsel and shit, yes, but not lights. The one business that did the best displays on the Gold Coast was a car dealership.

Hah. That's just so weird. Shall we now move Christmas so that it's not so close to New Year's and we can drag out people binging on food and drink some more?

 I didnt know that my purity score was out there on the internet for everyone to see. But my stats are all wrong...

Somebody just discovered the stats page?

Do you need to retake the test?

And I hope the thread is prepared for a massive statsbomb. I'm preparing shitloads of Superthread statistics to unleash.

oh, they do lights here too. the best part? macy's. they have a section where they sell trees and ornaments, so of course they show everything all decorated to entice you to buy. i absolutely love it. gorgeous.

and yes!! i want thanksgiving in early november, christmas in early to mid december. stretch out the holidays as long as possible
