Please vote for the tracklisting you LIKE THE MOST.

Welcome to the second heat of the second round of the Interference Desert Island Game III! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

In the final heat of Round 1, Lila64 was able to pull away against edge_2125, earning a 14-9 victory. Current standings will be displayed in the Heat 4 thread of Round 2.

Our next heat pits phanan against U2vertigofly. Below are the tracklistings.

If you don't know the songs, or wish to hear how each tracklisting flows, leave your e-mail address and we'll help you out. :)

Connections

I tend to view my playlist as a book of short stories, each one different from
the next, but having an overall theme of connections between people and how
those connections impact their lives. From soldiers to models, or from lovers
to friends, these songs produce a snapshot of how different people handle things
in their own, unique way, yet together they show how strong those connections
can be.

Enjoy!

In my play list I went with a mix of songs that rock, and songs you can relax to. It really picks up quick just over halfway through and builds up to a couple of live tracks with a great energy to them. I ended it with Elvis because he was an influence to nearly all of the other artists on my list and he is defiantly in my top 5 artists of all time. Plus, he is probably the only artist I could listen to that can sing the same line for 5 minutes and make it work. Overall, I enjoy this play list more than my previous play list and I'm glad I got the opportunity to make it for this contest. I called it Iron Tunes, for two reasons. 1. Quite a few of the songs (especially those towards the end) are frequently played on the radio when we lift, and 2. It’s just a kick ass name. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. So I hope you all enjoy and vote for my list.

Competition master list.

Have fun!

U2VertigoFly has a lot of great songs. He also might have the best rock heavy playlist in the competition.

However, Phanan is one of my favorites in the competition. Given a different opponent U2VF would be apt to have my vote. Phanan's playlist is just fantastic. It is one of the best experiences in the entire game. So he has my vote.

You both have good playlists and I wish you both luck through the rest of the game.

Gotta agree. It's balanced, which is something I wish I could say for U2Vert's, which is still really good, don't get me wrong, just not as diverse, you know?

I gotta go with Phanan on this one.

Gotta agree. U2VertigoFly's list has a ton of great stuff, but phanan's was a very powerful experience.

Phanan. His list owns souls.

You've got a great playlist yourself. It's gonna get real interesting as we move on here...

Oh yeah, the quarterfinals and beyond will be awesome. I don't think there will be too many blowouts down the stretch. Not this year.
