Please vote for the tracklisting you LIKE THE MOST.

Welcome to the first quarter final of the Interference Desert Island Game II! The premise of this game is that all of the Interferencers have been stranded on a desert island and we can only take up to 160 minutes of music with us (either as a continuous iPod playlist or two 80 minute CDs or any other format of our choosing). The object is to see which forum member can fit the most musical goodness into these 160 minutes.

In the final heat, Axver defeated Salome by a margin of 16 to 11. Axver will thus meet XHendrix24 in the fourth quarter final.

To kick off the quarter finals and to battle for the first spot in the semi finals, GibsonGirl meets LemonMacPhisto.

Below, you will find their tracklistings. If you are unfamiliar with the songs included, we can help you hear them! Just leave your e-mail address.

Have fun!

GibsonGirl has such an awesome tracklist. If mine doesn't go all the way (and I expect it will be thumped in the quarter finals), I hope she wins the entire tournament. So I'm definitely voting for her here, even though LMP's tracklist isn't too shabby either.

 Gibsongirl’s playlist can be summed up in one word Masterpeice. It gets better each time I listen to it. It borders on near perfection. It is beautifully constructed with a beginning, climax and a fabulous ending thanks to John Lennon, DeVotchka and The Doors. It simply doesn’t sound like any other playlist in the competition. Since the qualifying rounds, it’s been the second best playlist in my mind but I’m starting to think that it is equal if not better than my own.

LemonMacPhisto your playlist is also great. You have a real knack for these things but my vote goes to GG.

Holy schnikes.

I love GB's playlist... a lot. Probably more than mine right now.

LMP, but only because the songs on GG's list are just sooooooooooooo depressing. :| It's definitely a pretty dark list, while LMP's is something I would listen to much more often.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. ;) The poll's probably ending soon and it looks like I won't be making this round. Congratulations, LMP! You've got a great list too, best of luck.

LMP! There are so many great songs in there. Plus, lots of points for adding the Flaming Lips combo.
