Damien Jurado
I first heard of him while in Switzerland. A friend of mine put Ghost of David on in the car as we were driving through the Alps at the end of a long day and it was really perfect music for the time and place. In any case, I just picked the album up at a used CD store, and I really dig it. Does anyone know much about him and have info/recommendations/comments about his other work?

Yeah, Damien Jurado is from my hometown, Seattle. He's on the SubPop label. I'm actually surprised that people in Europe have heard of him. I don't have any of his CDs but I have heard him play live on my local college radio station. Here is a link to an interview with him from Seattle's alternative newspaper, The Stranger: http://www.thestranger.com/2000-12-07/bio_music.html ------------------ Remember the goul.
