I don't have a job, I worked all through spring, though, so not having one isn't quite as bad as it seems.

I'm also 17, which means I can't drive a car after 11PM, can't drink alcohol, cannot maintain my own residence, etc. So, there's a trade off.

Going to pursue History as my academic field. PolSci's what initially got me onto the idea of being an academic, but last year I realised History's where my passion lies.

This thread is more or less a chat thread, only with slightly more interesting, controversial people. Former members of the UYMFA Gang such as myself, NSW, LemonMelon, Dalton, and Unico frequent this. Phanan, LemonMacPhisto, and Screwtape are regulars. There's also a large Aussie/Kiwi population.

Research-only positions in Australian universities are pretty rare nowadays, at least in the humanities, so yeah, I expect to be a lecturer.
