Canada's best rock band comes back with another album.
seriously, name me ONE contemporary rock band that does this better than the cons.
maybe...MAYBE...the Hold Steady

anyway, this album is pretty sweet
Though there does seem to be something lacking that it's predecessors had
a certain grittiness or passion or something

Still, they're a working mans band...their live concert will blow you down

One of my many erotic henna tattoos agrees wholeheartedly.

Their Joe Strummer Plaid styling works well in the live setting.

I hope the record isn't as polished and diluted as your comments suggest.

!To the Constantines Machine!!!

I've been listening to it more

and I've figured it out

if shine a light was the party, then this album is the come down.
It's more brooding and somber and introspective...and it's a fine album, right down to the dark acoustic closer which feature Steve Lambke on vocals.

I'm buying it simply for the title.

It was inevitable that an album be the namesake of Canada's most elite women's curling tournament.

Costantines in the HOUSE.

:sexywink:

!!!

I just heard 'Love in Fear' today. I really liked it. Are these guys new? I haven't heard of them before today.

I just heard "Love in Fear," too. Good tune. This is their third LP. I believe it's due out on 10/11.
